*** NOTE: I just got a new camera that I love, so there are lots of pix in this post :)

Unfortunately, with Ike churning off the Texas coast, Kyle's parents weren't able to join us in the festivities. In the end, it was good we didn't have many party-goers, because let me tell you, this was one slow movin' party.
First, we got in our new birthday outfits (except) Davis refused to put on his shirt.

As the boys came down they were greeted by their new best friend, Liberty, a gift from Gigi and Papa.

Everyone got a turn, but then they noticed the balloons on their chairs, and decided that was more fun :)

Then we really got things rockin' with a birthday lunch. Nuggets for the kids (of course) and enchiladas for the rest of us.

The Spanky's then opened presents from their Aunt Keli, Uncle Joe, and cousins Emily and Austin.

They had so much fun with those that they could only handle one more ride on Liberty, and it was off to dreamland. Nothing in this world will come between me, the Spanky's and naptime. :)
So, Gigi and Papa left and we postponed the cake eating, present opening until the boys woke up. In the meantime, I went to Target to buy more storage bins. I am an organization junkie.
The party resumed at snack time for a little bit of cake...I wish I could say I made this, but I left this one to the professionals.

I let them play with the fondant frogs, but Evan ate practically all of his before I could get them away. Carter used his as a stamper.

They seemed to enjoy the actual cake though!

In fact, they liked it so much, that we had to postpone the party, yet again, to take a bath.
Then we slipped into our new "Hear no Evil, See no Evil, Speak no Evil" pajamas...how perfect are those??!!
Is there anything cuter than a squeaky clean kiddo?

Carter is still more interested in the balloons...

Future doctor??

Future...uh...warden??

The rest of the presents had to wait until the next day...I don't think Gigi and Papa were interested in returning for day 2 of the party :)
