First Sleepover

The boys had their first sleepover without Mommy and Daddy at Gigi & Papa's house.  She got all of her Christmas stuff up so that they could spend time checking it all out :)  They loved it and can't wait to do it again. 

Kyle and I actually got to sleep in and go to a real restaurant for breakfast...we can't wait for the kids to go back again too :)

Thanksgiving Road Trip

The boys' first road trip and night away from home ever was to Tulsa to see Mimi, Papa and all of their aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. on Kyle's side of the family! 

It was a 9 hour drive, but they were ready for it.  I packed them all sorts of cute workbooks and Color Wonder stuff.  But they didn't touch it...instead they just watched movies the whole way and didn't complain a bit!

It's amazing to me that 4 days before Thanksgiving we can eat breakfast outside and feed the ducks at Mozart's in short sleeves!

I think my obsession with matching the kids is getting out of hand...poor Kyle.  

Halloween 2010

This was the first time the boys actually helped me with pumpkin carving duties.  I could not convince them to help me scoop out the goo though.

Okay so I was really, really lazy (and cheap) this year for their costumes. These were just part of the dress up sets they got for their birthday last year. I think these are technically British Bobby costumes, but we put on their boots and called them firemen!!

They didn't care...they were just happy to be getting candy because they totally get the concept of trick-or-treating this year!  Lucky for me they don't keep a strict inventory of their loot.  I've got my eye on those Reese's.

We were so happy our friends from San Diego came to visit again this Fall with their adorable little girl, Ainsley. The boys just love her, but mostly they are shocked that she likes broccoli! 

I am so far behind on this blog, that Ainsley actually has a new baby sister now.  We are so excited to meet her! 

Drum Line

Whenever we have a garage sale the kids have to get into everything...at least they were entertaining us this time.

Little Man on the Go

Carter got this scooter for his birthday, but Evan has commandeered it.  He was basically scooting with both feet on after 15 minutes of trying.

He also is the only one that will ride the bike we have. 

He just loves anything that "goes".  Carter and Davis are still not too sure about it all.  So, they are sticking to the plasma car for now.

The Year

Well, we made it!  We have reached "The Year".  You know, the year in which it is all going to get easier with triplets.  Many triplet parents have told us about time so that it is almost myth or legend. I am probably more excited than the boys are :)

We started the birthday overindulgence with a party with the cousins, Uncle Jason and Gigi & Papa.

Jello Cake - a family party staple since I was a kid!

This was followed they next weekend by a celebration with Mimi & Papa.

That was followed the next day with the main event...a bounce house circus party with all of our friends!

First Day of School

The boys started their 3rd year of preschool...they just love going.  I have never heard an "I don't want to go to school!" or seen a single tear when I drop them off.  I must be just loads of fun to hang out with everyday! 

4 Year Old Stats

We went a litttle early for our 4 year check up.  Being the genius that I am, I decided to take the kids in before school starts and before their actual birthday just to get it out of the way before things got busy.  Unfortunately, they couldn't get their vaccinations until they were actually 4...so we get to schlep them all back for about 5 shots in a few weeks.

The Lake

The boys had their first overnight trip finally!  We rented a house on the Lake LBJ with my parents, my brother and his kids.  Everyone had a fantastic time and we will be doing it all over again next August. 
They were so excited to just get in the car already!!  I actually received these little bears as a baby shower gift...I held onto them until their first vacation.   I didn't realize that moment would be 4 years away!

 

Once we got there the days were full of new experiences and just hanging out with the cousins...

The boat was the highlight. Here they are ready to shove-off. 

I was amazed that they just jumped off of the boat all on their own and then swam over to ladder (in life jackets of course). The other big boating highlight is throwing watermelon rinds into the lake :)

Evan and Davis jumped in about a million more times off the end of the boat dock too.  They loved screaming "Cala-bunga!!".  Carter was a little bit scared, but he said he would do it next year!
