Snow Bunnies

Okay there's no snow, but I had to get a picture of the boys in their fuzzy sweat suits and hats :)

They really like the hats, but were displeased with me making them wait in the cold in the Target parking lot to snap some pictures!

Day After Christmas

We officially love the bean bag chairs... thanks Gigi & Papa! They are perfect for both movie watching and dive bombing off of the couch.

Later that morning we met my brother with his kids at one of those inflatable jumpy places. This was our first experience and The Spanky's loved it!

They especially loved this slide...

Yes, that is me up at the top, and let me tell you it is not easy climbing this thing while holding a 28 lb kid...and then repeating about 5 more times. Man, I love these little monkeys!

We will definitely have to make this an "After Christmas Tradition"!

Christmas Morning...the Marathon.

Just like on their birthday, the present opening on Christmas lasted ALL DAY. Not that they had so much to open, but they just are content playing with the new toy and don't really care to rip into a new present right away!

Here are some highlights.

Coming down stairs on Christmas morning.

Oops wrong way, Davis...he has breakfast on the brain!

Immediately sidetracked by the train they got from their Uncle Jason the night before...

Opening presents:

Of course the favorite play-things were the boxes from the bean bag chairs...

and the 50cent punch balloons!

Later that evening we graduated from our high chair trays to the bar! Now if I could just get them to actually eat something.

Christmas Eve at Gigi & Papa's

I know this is only like 3 weeks late, but for posterity I am posting our Christmas festivities...

When I was little we always opened our gifts on Christmas Eve or some other night prior to Christmas. Most people think that is odd, but it just seemed normal to me and I never questioned it. Of course, Santa came while we were out to dinner and looking at lights. If you are interested in such an arrangement, you just need to send him a letter ahead of time.

So, per tradition, we spent Christmas Eve at Gigi's house.

I had the boys open some new PJ's & slippers before we left. Evan took awhile to wake up from his nap...

But Carter & Davis were quite pleased to stomp around in their new "boot slippers".

The weather was perfect for a little pre-dinner oustide play. We hung birdseed ornaments in the trees and ran amok. I think their neighbor Bob was a little freaked when six elves descended upon him!

Inside Carter loved looking at all of Gigi's cool ornaments...I swear he sat there for 30 minutes.

We had such a great time and actually got a sweet picture of all six grandkids (with the help of chips!!).

Merry Christmas From our Family to Yours

Of course a string of lights on my tree went out the day before Christmas. But the tree did survive it's first holiday season with the boys :) Last year at this time they still weren't allowed downstairs except to eat...we have come a long way!

First Holiday Party of the Season

My Mom's side of the family got together for our annual Christmas Party. The boys were very well behaved and loved playing with their cousins. Here is my Grandma with all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

I think it is so special that the boys are getting to know their Oma :)

Evan was just thrilled with the singing and dancing Snowmen from their Great Aunt Jody.

The boys also love animal the flashlights from their Great Aunt Janice. Davis makes sure everyone gets the right one. We are still working on shining them on the wall instead of in Mommy's eyes..ugh.
